- It's a 302 Ford.... the Pertronix is now 7 years old. I had my doubts about using it with the MSD box, but the newer install sheets from MSD now have hookup info for the Pertronix. They didn't before

- I have a 74 TR-6 with a factory hardtop. The hardtop bolts to the rear deck using two of the same bolts that hold the convertible top frame. So yes the ragtop needs to be unbolted.....but not *remove

- If you turn off the engine once the problem occurs, is the transmission then "shiftable" ? If so, then the problem is most likely in the clutch..... otherwise, like you say, it's a tranny problem. --

- Short answer: All reciprocating parts are balanced, IE piston/rod weights are made identical, crank/flywheel/damper are dynmically balanced. Blueprinting simply means making all dimensions/clearances
