Aren't the spider and pin drive cams different lengths? I think if you want a spider drive cam in a pin drive engine you need a 1/4" spacer beneath the oil pump. So that would mean a pin drive camsha

I was playing with my ignition timing yesterday, and after I checked the point gap, I could not get a spark. Can't seem to find where the problem lies. *points are opening and closing ok *suspected

I found the problem. There is a thin cloth covered wire that runs from the point post to the terminal on the side of the distributor (-ve coil). This wire was very saggy so I swapped it for one off a
