Jonmac,

It is with sadness that I read your post. I too am an old guy, but at
the age of 72 have been able to keep up with the rapid advance in
technology, especially in social media. I know how to use it but
generally eschew its use because little of real depth occurs there.

There are many useful HOWTO videos on YouTube and much useful
information on the Internet if one uses the Google search function and
gets past all the AI crap on the first page. The downside is that the
WWW is now awash with advertising and since 99.9% of it is of no
interest to me, I find that browser add-ons like Ghostery, Adblock and
Privacy Badger are required to rid my life of that crap. I even found
it useful to pay for YouTube Premium to avoid most of their annoying
adverts.

Banned from FaceBook?
That takes some doing, so congratulations!! The simple fix is to
create a Gmail email account just to use on FB and when you log in,
tell them your birthday is in 1924 and don't provide any personal
information. There are dozens of Triumph-related pages (as well as
other British cars).

Don't avoid technology. It's pretty easy to use once you employ Google
searches to figure it out. I'm certain you have a wealth of knowledge
to share as well.
